The National Trust is encouraging people to get outside and take advantage of their surroundings this Easter by hosting Easter Egg trails across their sites. In Bedfordshire at Dunstable Downs, not only will visitors get the chance to follow a trail and receive a chocolate or vegan egg at the end but will also get to take part in their own version of a 200 year old tradition!

Alongside the family trail, you can also get involved in the National Trust's version of the 200 year old tradition of Orange Rolling. The custom is unique to Dunstable and involves throwing oranges down the hill while groups of people chase them and try to catch them. At the trails, guests can take part in Orange Bowling where families can score points by rolling an orange wooden bowling ball through the holes of several Easter shapes to compete to be the Easter champion.

The National Trust Easter egg trail cost £3 per child, plus normal National Trust admission, entry is free for National Trust members. Learn more on their website here.
