Getting to Bedfordshire
By road
Bedfordshire is easy to reach by road, you’ll find it on the M1 which runs southwards towards London and the south east and northwards towards Leeds and Yorkshire. The M1 connects the the M25 and the A6 as well as other motorway networks.
By rail
There are excellent rail links from London and the north, with services connecting all over the county. Luton Airport Parkway can be found on the Midland Main line from London St Pancreas, connecting the two in just 22 minutes, and other rail services offer direct trains to Bedford calling at Luton, Leagrave, Harlington, Flitwick and then Bedford itself from Thameslink. You can also get rail connections to St Albans, Wimbledon, Sutton, Gatwick Airport and Brighton. There are a number of trains from the Midlands direct to Bedford rail station.
By Air
Bedfordshire is served by London Luton Airport and there are regular flights from many UK airports as well as connections to major hubs such as Charles De Gaulle and smaller regional airports across the world. The airport is easily accessible from the M1 just off Junction 10, as well as the A6 from Luton. There are a number of shuttle bus services, taxis, trains, coaches and bus services that connect the airport to a number of other UK destinations from London, Bedfordshire and other stations across the country.
By coach
You can also travel to Bedfordshire by bus or coach using services such as National Express which arrives from all over the country.
There are a a number of direct coach services towards Victoria Coach Station in Central London from Luton, including the Green Line route 757, the National Express and Easy Bus which operates from London’s Liverpool Street Station. The National Express services also link Bedfordshire to the airports in Stanstead, Heathrow and Gatwick, as well as destinations in the Midlands and the North of England.
