Though tigers having stand offs with other wildlife is a completely natural turn of events, it isn’t every day that tigers find themselves up against the humble pigeon. However, the team at Whipsnade Zoo witnessed just that recently.
Visitors and staff at the zoo were amused to see one of their tigers imitate their domestic cousins by sneaking up on a pigeon that decided to visit the tiger enclosure for a little rest. The pictures show the tiger noticing the pigeon and then creeping up on it before pouncing.

As the pigeon had incredibly fast reflexes and took flight before the tiger could catch it, we’ll never know who would come off better in a fight, but this was certainly a close call!
