The Unknown Soldier

About

Presented by Alison Ray Dance Company, The Unknown Soldier explores the personal stories of the brave men and women of Black British heritage and the part they played in Britain's successful war effort.

Telling various stories of men and women of Black British Heritage who fought in the WWI and WWII. A show full of dance, theatre, live music and projections that captures their participation to the British War Effort.

As these soldiers embark on their quest to fight in the War, the choreography uses a myriad of styles: Lindy Hop, African, Caribbean and Contemporary dance to give a visual physicality to the narrative and the untold stories of these war veterans.
