I Wish My Brother George Was Here is a verbatim theatre performance based on the testimonies of Black men and women sharing their thoughts surrounding the death of George Floyd and feelings in terms of their own racialised experiences.
Taking the premise of therapy as a starting point the performance hopes to encourage thought around the work needed to understand the narratives of those on the periphery whose lived experience is often silenced and untold.
The performance invites you to sit with the discomfort of racism by placing these narratives at the centre, giving them both voice and audience.
Running time: 90 minutes, with a 30 minute interval
