Woburn Safari Park offers a fun and interactive day outside of the classroom for both Primary and Secondary school children.
A visit to the Park provides a wonderful opportunity to see and get close to endangered species, with over 1000 wild animal residents living in wide open parkland reserves.
Experience an exhilarating journey through the Road Safari, where you’ll get up close to a number of endangered and exotic animals including lions, tigers, bears, rhinos and giraffes; school groups also have the opportunity to get even more out of the experience by taking a safari tour guide on board.
Next continue the exciting learning journey on foot in the Foot Safari, where you can explore the many walk-through enclosures and get up close to animals including lemurs, monkeys, penguins and meerkats. Plus enjoy a full programme of fascinating talks and demonstrations that run daily, giving your students the opportunity to learn even more about the species and the individual animals living at the Park.
A range of packages and interactive educational teaching sessions are available; enjoy a teaching session in the Visitor Enrichment Centre, choose from several educational talks at some of the animal enclosures, or take your learning into the wild with a session in the Outdoor Classroom, overlooking the giraffe reserves in the Road Safari.
Call 01525 290991 or email education@woburn.co.uk to start planning your school trip. For a full list of topics for the teaching sessions, please visit www.woburnsafari.co.uk/educational-visits.
