The Rufus Centre is one of the most flexible, meeting, conference and event venues in Bedfordshire.
For meetings and conferences, The Rufus Centre offers a choice of seven meeting rooms that can accommodate anything from 2 to 200 people. It also features a large, enclosed, outdoor space with 112m x 88m field and separate gardens that is perfect for team building events and outdoor exhibitions and displays.
The largest room, The Lockyer Suite offers a choice of layouts including theatre style and tiered seating, and is perfect for presentations and live performances. As well as conferences, a wide range of events can be held in the room from exhibitions to awards evenings and live music.
To meet demand, The Rufus Centre has recently introduced twilight and short meeting room rates. Perfect if you are looking for meeting space outside of office hours or only want a room for a couple of hours.
We pride ourselves on our flexibility. We have a fantastic in-house catering team who can offer a delicious range of food from lunch buffets to three course wedding breakfasts and can accommodate any special dietary needs. If you don’t want to use our catering you can provide your own, you can even hire our kitchen to prepare food on site.
Licenced for both Civil Wedding and Partnership Ceremonies, you can enjoy all your celebrations in one place at The Rufus Centre. We offer a choice of three beautiful rooms for your special day, The Moorfield Room that seats 30, The Davis Suite that seats 70 and The Lockyer Suite that seats 200. We provide a blank canvas so that you can paint your perfect day and offer a range of decoration packages to choose from or you can provide your own. Our stunning celebration garden is situated just outside the building and is the perfect setting photographs or a summer drinks reception.
The Rufus Centre is ideal for all types of celebrations from baby showers and christenings to anniversaries and birthday parties. Our dedicated team of event co-ordinators have a wealth of experience to ensure you have the perfect event.

The Rufus Centre is situated on the edge of Flitwick. 5 miles from Junction 12 of the M1 if you are travelling from the South and 6 miles from Junction 13 of the M1 if travelling from the North. There is ample free parking on site.
The Rufus Centre is located in Flitwick, Central Bedfordshire with excellent road and rail links and free parking for over 100 cars.
Less than 5 minutes by taxi or a 15 minute walk from Flitwick Railway Station with direct rail services to Bedford, London and Brighton.
By air, London Luton Airport is a 30 minute drive away and there is a direct train connection between Flitwick and Luton Airport Parkway.
Regular bus services run from the Town Centre.
