What makes this overnight experience special?

Location

Lookout Lodge is situated in extraordinary surroundings overlooking the beautiful Chiltern Downs. 

Your neighbours for the evening include our herd of white rhinos and reindeer, who luckily are some of our quieter animals at the Zoo, so won't keep you up in the night. However in the morning some of our nosier residents like to make themselves heard, so don't be surprised if you wake up to the sound of roaring lions! 

Our cosy lodges have everything you need for a comfortable night's stay at the Zoo and are each named after an animal you can find at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.  Our nine lodge cabins come with either double or twin beds and each lodge has a private veranda so that you can sip your bedtime tea or hot chocolate whilst listening to the sounds of the Zoo at night. 

Lodges have private verandas and there are separate male and female washing facilities a short walk from the lodges

Lodge for 2 from 298 per night, with each additional child place 40 each.

We run both Adult only and Family nights.  On adult only nights each lodge can accommodate a maximum of two adults. On family nights each lodge can accommodate a maximum of two adults and two children (or one adult and three children). Children must be between the ages of 5-13 years old. 
Please note that our accessible lodge can only accommodate a maximum of two adults and one child.

Lodges
Four double lodges are available: Lion lodge, Wolf lodge, Giraffe lodge and Hippo lodge. 
Five twin lodges are available: Penguin lodge, Elephant lodge, Bear lodge and Reindeer lodge.

Animal tours

A stay at the Lookout Lodge includes three special tours including a sunset tour, torchlit night time tour and an early morning tour, which all take place when the Zoo is closed to the public.

On each tour guests will enjoy pricate viewing of various animals around the Zoo, guided by our experienced host team who will share amazing animal facts and insider secrets about what goes on at the Zoo behind the scenes. 

We like to keep what you see on our tours a surprise, so that you won't know what animals you will see until you get here. 

Guests also get two full days access to the Zoo, with the option to explore ZSL London Zoo on your second day! 

Dining

The evening includes a delicious two-course dinner, as well as a complimentary drink on arrival. 

Breakfast is also included, with your choice of full English and continental options.
